Project
notes.
A useful truck first.
This project starts with a simple rule: the truck still has to work. Repairs and upgrades are treated as systems problems, not isolated parts swaps. Steering, alignment, braking, driveline and future powertrain decisions all have to make sense together.
Current direction
Recent work has included a DIY string alignment after excessive toe-in began wearing the tires unevenly, along with ongoing steering and chassis maintenance. Longer term, the truck is also a platform for exploring a low-cost drivetrain modernization rather than replacing a useful chassis.
Current project scope
- DIY string alignment and toe correction
- Steering and front-end maintenance
- Parking-brake service
- Drivetrain research and swap planning
- Utility-focused fabrication and upgrades
